Hard Fought Conference Game leads to Loss for Beaver
Monaca, PA- The Lions continued conference play playing on their home court against Penn State Fayette. Beaver fought hard but ultimately ended up falling short with a final score of 77-73.
With the Beaver lions having a rough start to the competive game, struggling to find their spark going into the half, the score was 44-29. Coming out of the half, the Beaver Lions put on a preformance to bring them back into the game. Second year, Josh McCloud, starting the spark and Second year, Xavier Ryan following with a great steal to kick start the Lions momentum. Fourth year, Isaiah Wise knocks down big time shots from behind to arc to keep Beaver alive. Fourth year, Chris Green also showing his determination to win in the second half by continuallly getting to the basket and being aggresive. The Beaver Lions, finished the second half with a score of 44-33.
Second year Josh McCloud (Houston, TX) was the player of the game and leading scorer producing 23 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Another player adding points to the stats sheet was Fourth year Chris Green (Washington, DC) scoring 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Second year Trevor Franklin (Stafford, VA) also contributed by having 8 points, 2 blocks, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds.
