Schuylkill, PA - New Kensington traveled to Penn State Schuylkill on Friday night for a Conference showdown. 

New Kensington fell behind early to an 11 point deficit and clawed their way back to only be down 5 points at the end of the first quarter.  The Lion's kept chipping away at the lead, however Schuylkill kept New Ken behind, 33-38 at the end of the half. 

New Kensington did not give up in the third quarter, diminishing Schuylkill's lead to 1 point. The Lion's battled the whole fourth quarter taking the lead for the first time all game. Then, went back and forth the last six minutes of the game to finally take the win 65-62.

New Kensington had two double-doubles on the night,  Destiny Batiste (Thibadoux, La.) 25 points and 11 rebounds and Esther Cole (Brooklyn, NY) with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Jayde Rivera (Dover, DE) had 12 points and Tori Johnson (New Kensington, PA) had 11 points. Jada Norman (New Kensington,PA) also helped the Lion's down low with 14 rebounds.
