Men's Basketball Wins Matchup Against Penn State Scranton

DUNMORE, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Basketball defeated PSUAC opponent Penn State Scranton on Tuesday.

Schuylkill extended their lead to 10 points with 7:16 remaining following a 17-8 stretch out of a Scranton timeout, seizing a 27-17 lead. Schuylkill continued to tack on the points as they went on another run late in the half to take an 18-point lead heading into halftime.

Schuylkill wasted no time extending their lead to 20 points as a layup by Devin Adams at the start of the half gave them a 46-26 lead. Schuylkill maintained a sizeable advantage as they had an answer for every Scranton basket during the pivotal moments of the game. Schuylkill led by as many as 25 points in the win.

Amir Gray (Washington D.C. / Quince Orchard High School) led Schuylkill in scoring with 16 followed by 13 points from Adams. Dashawn Dixon (Baltimore, MD / Catonsville High School) and Andrew Sepp (Bogota, NJ / Saint Mary High School) scored 10 points each in the win. Antwuan Byrd (Harrisburg, PA / Bishop McDevitt High School) racked up a game-high 10 assists.

Schuylkill (9-12 overall, 6-5 PSUAC) will host PSUAC opponent Penn State Lehigh Valley for their next matchup this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
