Penn State Beaver Men's Basketball clinch a win at home of Christendom 63-53
Monaca, PA- The Beaver Lion's earn a tough win at home against Christendom. With a nail biting game the Lion's final score was 53-63.
From Tip-off, the intensity on the court took over the whole gym. First year Alex Green (Chicago,IL) laying in the first bucket of the game. The entire first half of the game was a constant back and forth. The greatest lead of the half was 4 points. Second year Trevor Franklin (Stafford,VA) making this possible with a made lay-up followed by a free throw. The score at the end of the first half was 28-31, Penn State Beaver.
The second half continued to be a back and forth game. Penn State Beaver continued to be determined and play hard. With 5 minutes left in the game, the Beaver Lion's reached their biggest lead of the game with a score of 56-46. As a team, the Beaver Lion's shot an impressive 88.5% from the Free Throw Line.
The Beaver Lion's walked away with a great team win. Multiple athletes were able to contrible to the game. Fourth year Chris Green (Washington D.C.) scored a total of 20 points. First year Alex Green (Chicago, IL)scoring 14 points abd snatching 9 rebounds. Second year Trevor Franklin (Stafford, PA) knocking in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
The Men's Basketball team will be getting ready to hit the road to take on Penn State Greater Allegheny in a tough PSUAC match-up on Tuesday, Janurary 30th.
