Kanhoye Erupts for 30 in Debut as Bobcats Roll to 89-60 Win
BUFFALO, NY – Newcomer Kat Kanhoye made quite the first impression on Saturday, scoring 30 points in her Bryant& Stratton Buffalo debut to lift the Bobcats to a 89-60 season-opening victory of Penn State Mont Alto.
BUFFALO, NY – Newcomer Kat Kanhoye made quite the first impression on Saturday, scoring 30 points in her Bryant& Stratton Buffalo debut to lift the Bobcats to a 89-60 season-opening victory of Penn State Mont Alto.
The junior went 6-of-10 from three and added 11 assists and two steals as she dominated the game as the best player on the floor from start to finish.
Buffalo (1-0) jumped out to a 21-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Julie Trowers, another newcomer, was a rebound shy of a double-double herself, finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds. Junior Charm Stone added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Kanhoye, the sophomore from Queens was 11-of-18 from the floor and had 15 points in both the first and second half. Her 11 assists were to just two turnovers. Buffalo forced Mont Alto into 29 turnovers.
