Bobcats Falter Late, Fall to Penn St Shenango
BUFFALO, NY - Despite leading for nearly the entire game, Bryant & Stratton Buffalo found themselves on the wrong end of a 70-66 final on Saturday night in the first game of the Bobcat Kickoff Classic against Penn State Shenango. The Lions outscored the Bobcats 28-11 in the final quarter to steal the game in the final moments.
Junior Ashlynn Johnson scored a game-high 16 points for Buffalo and also added 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Senior Chy Isom scored 12 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Newcomers Saige Roberts and Chanice Willis each added 11 as well.
Buffalo held Shenango to just 28.2 percent shooting for the game, but the Lions got hot late and scored 28 points over the final 10 minutes. Buffalo out-rebounded Shenango 57-52, had 18 assists and led by as many s 18.
The game featured five lead changes and four ties.
