READING, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team dropped its second-straight match to begin the season as the Lions were defeated in a non-conference bout at Albright 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-10) on Wednesday night.
Rikelle Taylor (Nottingham, Pa./Solanco) and Hope Coacher (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford) both provided the offense with three kills, while Rebecca Gonzalez (Clearwater, Fla./Washburn Academy) handed out eight assists.
Hannah Sarafinas (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) paced the defense by collecting four blocks and three digs. Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) registered a team-best seven digs, while Gonzalez added five and Gianna Anthony (Newtown Square, Pa./Sacred Heart Academy) recorded four.
Brandywine (0-2) visits Gwynedd Mercy for a tri-match with the host Griffins and King's (Pa.) on Saturday beginning with its match against GMU at 1:00 pm.
