PSUAC Announces Fall All-Conference Award Winners

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State University Athletic Conference announced their All-Conference teams for golf, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball on Friday. More than 100 student-athletes from 14 campuses earned recognition during the fall sports season.

Leading the charge were this year's Players of the Year. Penn State Brandywine's Brianna Banks captured her fourth straight Player of the Year honor in women's soccer, leading the league in scoring with 34 goals. Her men's counterpart is Penn State Beaver's Danylo Yakymov, who takes home his second straight Player of the Year title. Yakymov led the PSUAC in both goals and assists, with 19 and 14 respectively. Penn State Hazleton's Isaac Whitenight and Brandywine's Axel Ayllon-Ortiz share the co-Defensive Player of the Year award for men's soccer, while Penn State Mont Alto's Grace Banfe captured the women's award. Rookies of the Year include Mont Alto's Sarah Mackey on the women's side and Beaver's Mishael Garcia in the men's game. 

In volleyball, Ebony Sanders takes home her second East Division Player of the Year honor for Penn State Lehigh Valley. Penn State DuBois' Allison Easton won the West Division's crown as its top player. Sanders' teammate Jillian Cope was the East's Rookie of the Year, while Mont Alto's Kylee Gooding impressed in the West.

Penn State Lehigh Valley's Brian Zinman won medalist honors at the 2019 PSUAC Golf Championships, making him the unofficial Player of the Year.

Fayette's Samantha Swetz won Coach of the Year in volleyball and looks to repeat as conference champions, while Beaver's Jim Van Kirk takes home the title in men's soccer for a second straight year. Brandywine's Elise Pratt won the women's soccer award as she led her team to another undefeated conference record. Brian Exton of Penn State Lehigh Valley was named the top coach in golf after his team's stellar championship performance.

All-Conference award winner are nominated by their respective campus and voted on by the league's coaches and administrators. Each sports' awards can be found in the "Awards" drop down menu at the top of the PSUAC homepage. Links to each award release are also listed below.
