Volleyball Player of the Week 6
Kira Eisenberg, Penn State York
First Year
Newville, Pa.
Outside hitter Kira Eisenberg had a career-high 14 kills and 18 digs in a five-set victory for Penn State York against Penn State Hazleton. In two matches during the week, Eisenberg finished with 22 kills and 31 digs. She also added seven service aces.

Defensive specialist Avrey Parkins contributed 38 digs, eight assists and three service aces as Penn State Greater Allegheny went 2-0 during the week with victories over Penn State New Kensington and Penn State Beaver. Parkins leads the conference with 135 digs.

Bella Oskin, Penn State New Kensington

Midfielder Bella Oskin scored seven goals — her total for the season — and added three assists in three games for Penn State New Kensington. The team went 2-1 with victories over Penn State Beaver and Penn State Hazleton before dropping a tough decision to Penn State Schuylkill. Oskin’s seven goals moved her to third on the conference list for the season.

Defender Jack Cupitt lead Penn State Lehigh Valley two a pair of victories during the week, providing a steady presence as Bucks County Community College was held scoreless with only eight shots and then limiting Penn State Schuylkill to just three shots on goal during that game. In addition, Cupitt scored a goal and contributed an assist.

Women's Runner of the Week 6

Faith Sullivan finished 63rd out of 188 in a field of nearly all Division II and Division III runners at the Houghton University Invitational with a time of 24:34.3 in the 6K. Penn State Schuylkill finished sixth in the team standings for the race.

Gabriel Karnes, Penn State Schuylkill

Pine Grove, Pa.
Gabriel Karnes recorded a personal record and his best finish of the season at the Jack St. Clair College Invitational. He completed the 8K in a time of 35:30.09, good for a 7:09 mile pace. As a team Penn State Schuylkill finished in sixth place.

Taegan Scheller, Penn State Shenango

Defensive specialist Taegan Scheller, a serving specialist, propelled her team to victory from the service line in a victory over Penn State Dubois. With the teams tied at 5, Scheller served during a 20-0 run, helping her team to a 25-5 decision that clinched the No. 1 seed in the PSUAC West.

Penn State Greater Allegheny blanked Penn State York, 3-0, and bested Penn State Mont Alto, 3-1, as it extended its winning streak to five games and evened its season record at 7-7. The team is 5-1 in conference play. Greater Allegheny aggressive offensive mindset has been important. The team leads the conference with 248 shots on goal.
