Women’s Soccer: Beddow Scores in Overtime to Take Down #4 SUNY-ESF 2-1

 

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Sophomore Robyn Beddow (Lancaster) scored seven minutes in overtime to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's soccer team defeat #4 SUNY-ESF 2-1 in a consolation game of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Championships Friday. Sophomore Reda Vermilya (Turbotville) recorded the win in goal with 10 saves off of 16 shots. The game is the final for the 2013 season that sees #8 Penn College ending 11-7-2 overall.

 

After a scoreless first half, sophomore Laresa Paden (Mifflintown) opened up the second half netting a goal in the 56th. Megan Beckwith equalized in the 67th to send it in extra time.

 

SUNY-ESF outshot the Lady Wildcats 16-7 for the game.

 

Penn College got retribution against the Oaks having lost to them 3-2 in the regular season.
