Women’s Soccer: Beddow and Walters Combine for Six Goals as Lady Wildcats Defeat Valley Forge Christian 8-0

 

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – Sophomores Robyn Beddow (Lancaster) and Madilyn Walters (Lewistown) each scored three goals to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's soccer team to an 8-0 win over Valley Forge Christian College Friday. Sophomore Alexandra Brennan (Saint Clair) and freshman Kelsea Robbins (Milton) each scored a goal in the victory. With the win, Penn College improves to 9-5-2. 

 

In the game, the Lady Wildcats outshot Valley Forge 36-0. Freshman Colleen Bowes (Wayne) recorded the win in goal.

 

Penn College scored five in the first half with Beddow scoring back-to-back goals in the first ten minutes. Robbins followed with her goal in the 12th off a corner kick. Rounding out the first half scorers were Beddow and Brennan.

 

Walters led the Lady Wildcat defense in the second half scoring all three goals.

 

Next up, Penn College travels to St. Thomas Aquinas College on Sunday, Oct. 20 for a 2 p.m. match.
