Women lose to Shawnee State

Freedom, PA- Penn State Beaver women's soccer falls to Shawnee State in a scoreless match-up.

At the open of the match it didn't look good for Beaver when Shawnee State scored at the 0:56 mark, this was the start of their assault on the net. In the first half Shawnee State had 24 shots and Beaver had zero. Shawnee State went on to score two more goals in the first half and Beaver just couldn't answer, leaving the score at 3-0 at the end of the half.

In the second half Beaver couldn't find a rhythm to move the ball to Shawnee State's end, letting them keep it on their end to score four more goals throughout the half.

The only player who had a remarkable game was Amanda Donatelli (Indiana, PA/Indiana), who had a remarkable 24 saves throughout the match. Donatelli has proved to be a huge asset to the team, keeping the scores in the single digits. The match ended with Shawnee State winning, 7-0.

Beaver faces Chatham on Saturday, September 21 next, hopefully they can pull it together and gain their first win of the season.
