Buffalo, NY -- The women's soccer team traveled to Buffalo, NY tonight to take on the Lady Mavs of Medaille College in a non-conference match-up.
In the first half of play, the Lady Lions held Medaille scoreless until the 28th minute when the Lady Mavs took a 1-0 lead. It remained 1-0 for the next 10 minutes of play until Medaille then scored 2 goals within seconds of each other in the 38th minute to go up by a score of 3-0 at the end of the half.
The second half of the game the Lady Lions could never gain momentum and had zero shots on goal while their defense gave up seven goals to make the final score 10-0.
As she has been all season, sophomore, Amanda Donatelli (Indiana, PA/Indiana) was as solid as she could be in goal as she faced 28 shots on goal and made 18 saves.
The Lady Lions take the field again Monday, September 16th at 2:00pm as they travel to Mt. Aloysius.
