Women's soccer loses to Westmoreland County Community College

Freedom, PA- Penn State Beaver's women soccer loses to Westmoreland County Community College in a shutout.

In the first 8 minutes of the first half, WCCC began to deliver their assault of unanswered goals. WCCC was able to get 22 shots on goal with Beaver only returning 3 to the opposing goal. Goalie Amanda Donatelli (Indiana, PA/Indiana) seemed to be the only glisten of hope to keep Beaver in the match. Donatelli was able to keep the score 2-0 into the second half.

At the 59:17 mark, WCCC began to capitalize on their shot attempts again scoring the first of 4 goals in this half. Beaver only got two shots on goal in this half. The final goal was scored at the 79:18 mark, leaving the final score at 6-0.

The players who had the shots on goal were, Kiersten Manor (New Brighton, PA/New Brighton) and Erica Jones (Pittsburgh, PA/Brashear). Right Wing, Jen Bacvinskas (Pittsburgh, PA/Brashear) suffered an injury during the match but continued to play throughout the remainder of the half. No confirmation on whether it is a serious injury that could interfere with future matches.
