Women’s Basketball: Arcadia Stuns Lady Wildcats 84-26

 

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women's basketball team faced its toughest opponent of the season so far in Arcadia University losing 84-26 Monday. Arcadia was hot shooting 20-42 (.476) from the field and pushing the Lady Wildcats to commit 33 turnovers. Freshman Addie Jordan (Muncy Valley) led Penn College with nine points while sophomore Danielle Mowery (Shamokin) added eight. The Lady Wildcats now fall to 0-3 overall.  

 

Arcadia (3-0) jumped out to a 7-0 lead before a three from Jordan cut the lead to four. From there, the Knights went on a 21 point run to make it 28-3 in the ninth. Despite a couple more buckets from Penn College, the team went into the break down 44-11.

 

For the half, the Lady Wildcats shot 4-25 (.160) from the field but showed some spark from beyond the arch going 3-9 (.333).

 

In the second half, Penn College fair a little better scoring 15 points, but a 40 point effort from the Knights sealed the victory.

 

For the game, the Lady Wildcats totaled 28 rebounds with Mowery and freshman Chelsea Burger (Millersburg) each leading with five.

 

Penn College hosts Alfred State College on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.
