Brandywine falls short of the PSUAC championship

It was a bitter ending to a fine season for Brandywine, as it had a four point lead in the final two minutes slip away in the PSUAC title game against Penn State Fayette.

Brandywine led 74-70 with 2:09 remaining, but Fayette battled back to knot the score at 75, then a jumper by Fayette put them ahead with 21 seconds remaining. Brandywine had a last shot rim out in the final second that would've forced overtime. Amanda Congialdi led the way with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Shari Harper had 11 points and nine rebounds in her final game for Brandywine.

Coach Johnson was quoted, "Shari, you will be missed! Words cannot explain how much you have meant to the Penn State Brandywine program. Your dedication on the floor was something to be admired. You were a part of 70 wins, four PSUAC south division titles, three PSUAC championship appearances and one PSUAC championship!I am so proud to have coached you, you are a great role model for the rest of your teammates. It really hurt me to have your season end the way it did."
