SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. - Freshman Bryanna Valentine (Mifflinburg) notched a 'double-double' with 16 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's basketball team to a 61-55 win over Penn State Schuylkill Monday night. Freshman Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) had 15 points and junior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) added 12. The game is the finale for the team that ends the season 3-21 overall and 2-12 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
The Wildcats led 35-31 at the half. They led for the entire second half but had a close call with just over a minute left in the game when Schuylkill brought it to within one. Key free throw shooting sealed the victory. For the game, they shot 33 percent from the field and were 15-31 (.483) from the line.
Penn College finishes up the season fourth in the North Division out of playoff contention.
