Mont Alto, Pa- Five Greater Allegheny women scored in double-figures - led by Freshman Guard Monica Poupakis' (West Mifflin) 18 - as they dominated Penn State Mont Alto for a 77-48 win. The win snaps GA's two game losing skid.
Sophomore Guard Megan Brinkos (McKeesport) and Freshman Forward Christina Floyd (St. John Neumann) each scored 13 points, while Freshman Guard Nakayla Layne (Allderdice) added 12. Freshman Guard Taylor McCallister was also in double-figures for GA, scoring 11 points.
The PSUAC triumph improves Greater Allegheny's record to 9-12 overall, and 8-4 in conference play. The women will return to action Monday February 6, for a non-conference game at Pitt-Titusville. Game time is 6 PM.
