Easy Win On The Road

Schuylkill Haven, PA- The Lady Lions of Penn State Beaver (6-1, 4-0 PSUAC) played their first road game of the year this weekend against Penn State Schuylkill (Schuylkill Haven, PA).

The game started out very close, as Schuylkill showed strong offense. Back-to-back three pointers from Coleen Mead (Newport Harbor/Costa Mesa, CA), Brooke Mulneix (Riverside/Beaver Falls, PA) and Brittany Tomaselli (East Liverpool/East Liverpool, OH) gave the Lady Lions a lead they'd never lose. Beaver went into the half ahead 32-19.

The second half was much like the first, with Schuylkill only trailing by seven at the minimum. Beaver went on to win 66-54.

For the evening, Beaver shot 36.6% from the field and 23.5% from three point range. Mulneix led all scorers with 22 points and 10 rebounds (double-double), followed by Amanda Temple (Avella/Avella, PA) with 15, and Tomaselli with 10 and 5 assists. 

The Lady Lions next game will be Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 1pm at Penn College (Williamsport, PA).
