Lady Lions upend PSU Abington 13-5.

Lady Lions continued their strong play in a 13-5 victory over PSU Abington. Schuylkill got off to fast start in the opener loading the bases with one out, but could only manage to score 1run as the Abington defense would hold strong. Schuylkill would blow game open in the 2nd scoring 5 run on 8 hits. Schuylkill would tack on another 5 run inning, triggered by 2-rbi double by Kelsey Brendle (Junior/North Schuylkill). Abington would manufacture their first run of the game in top of the forth, making the score 11 to 1 Schuylkill. Schuylkill quickly answered back with hot bats in the bottom of the 4th. A single by Brittany Barnes (Junior/Tri-Valley), an rbi triple by Brendle, followed by an rbi single by Katie Fehr (Senior/Sch.Haven). Trailing 13-1, Abington would try to mount a comeback against pitcher Bryanna Snowell (Freshman/ Pottsville) scoring 4 in the 5th, but it wasn't enough as Schuylkill would win 13-5  F/5.
