Schuylkill sweeps season opening doubleheader, 7-1 & 9-1.

In game one, Schuylkill opened up the scoring on a 2 run double by Bryanna Snowell (Freshman/Pottsville) in the 2nd inning. Schuylkill added 2 more in 3rd on  a homerun by Katie Fehr (Senior/Sch.Haven) over the centerfield fence. By the end of the game, Schuylkill would tack on 3 more runs, while Snowell would dominate the Shock hitters from the circle allowing 1 run on 3 hits striking out 10.

In game two, the Lady Lions would pound out 9 runs on 18 hits, including a 4 for 4 performance from Kelsey Brendle (Junior/North Schuylkill) and 3 hits apiece for Fehr and Snowell. Alex Larish (Junior/Pottsville), Brittany Barnes (Junior/Tri-Valley), and Jena Leffler (Freshman/Pine Grove) added 2 hits apiece, with Larish and Leffler driving in 2 rbi's apiece. Once again Snowell controlled the game hold Washington Adventist to 1 run on 5 hits, striking out 3.
