Brandywine Soccer headed to the Championship!

Our Penn State Brandywine Men's Soccer team advances to the conference final by shutting out Penn College 2-0.

The tone was set before the game whistle was blown. Brandywine gathered around head coach Scott Spangler shouting "Who are we" and the boys yelling "Brandywine," this was done four times and their voices could be heard throughout the entire campus of Penn College. This excitement, determination and passion was carried immediately onto the field and continued for the entire 90 minutes.

Goal Keeper Nick Previti aka the "BRICK WALL" and the entire Brandywine defense would not be denied their 6th shut out. Senior captain CJ Gamber pushed up the field and scored the game's first goal on a beautiful pass by Frenc Bara.

Defensively, CJ was supported by Sam Houllette, Michael Clapp and Manny Weldemicael and each played as one unit; a defensive nightmare for the opposing team. To put it simply, this defensive combination destroyed the 3x defending conference champion with far more skill, speed and fight!

Offensively, the middle of the field was controlled by Frenc Baro, Mo Sesey and Brad Jule. These 3 boys controlled the entire tempo of the game giving the Brandywine team complete domination of the time of possession.

Of course, let's not forget about nationally top ranked scorer Bill Walleekendeh. he received a remarkable pass from swift footed Nabieu "BOO" Sesey for the game clinching goal at the start of the second half.

To sum up the "team's" overall performance...."these boys are good!"
