Men’s Soccer: SUNY ESF Deals Wildcats Third Loss of Season

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite an early 1-0 lead in the game, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team lost 2-1 to SUNY-ESF Monday night. Sophomore Christian Dressler (McAlisterville) scored in the 13th but two goals from the Oaks' Kyle Bardwell in each of the halves sealed his team's victory. Freshman Malcolm Kane (Glenside) recorded the loss with four saves in goal. The loss is just the third on the season for the Wildcats that now fall to 9-3 overall.

Freshman Douglas Binnie (Charlton, Mass.) assisted Dressler's goal sending a pass to him at the top of the box. A scrum on Penn College's defensive end allowed Bardwell to get the loss ball into net.

In the second half, ESF started to put together good runs and outshot the Wildcats 9-2. Bardwell's game winner came in the 69th taking a shot to the opposite corner of the goal.

For the game, the Oak's totaled 14 shots to Penn College's eight.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Berkeley College (N.J.) for a 7 p.m. match on Thursday, Oct. 3.
