Men’s Soccer: Wildcats Earn Victory in Shortened Game

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Christopher Brennan (New Hope) scored two goals as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team defeated Penn State Schuylkill 5-0. The teams only got in 36 minutes of play before inclement weather forced an early ending. Senior David Munn (Athens) recorded the shutout with no saves as the Wildcat defense did not allow a shot. With the win, Penn College improves to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Brennan started things off in the 16th with an unassisted goal. Just a minute later, junior Blayne Allen (Trumbull, Conn.) got in on the action. Sophomore Adrian Bukur (Hazleton) helped out Brennan with his second goal of the game in the 19th making it a 3-0 game.

Rounding out the scorers was sophomore Luke McFalls (New Oxford) and freshman Ryan Miller (Scranton) who scored in the 25th and 36th minutes respectively.

As a team, the Wildcats totaled 16 shots.

Next up, Penn College travels to Valley Forge Christian College on Monday, Sept. 16 for a 4 p.m. match.
