Beaver Men's Soccer loses to Thiel

Greenville, PA- Penn State Beaver men's soccer team loses to Thiel College.

At the beginning of the first half both teams played relatively well, but Thiel had 9 shots on goal rivaling Beaver's 3. These three shots were taken by, Mike Biskup (Monaca, PA/Center), Jhonnathan Paiva (New York, NY/Evangel Christian), and Pedro Faria (Luanda, Angola/Luanda Portuguese School). Beaver had a significant number of saves by Matt Fetch (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell), which held them at a 0-0 score throughout the half.

In the second half, Thiel had 14 shots on goal and Beaver only had 1 shot, which proved to be unsuccessful. At the 49:32 mark, a goal was allowed and left unanswered for the remainder of the match. The match ended in a win for Thiel with a final score of 1-0.

Beaver's next match up is home against Schuylkill on September 7 at 2 p.m.
