Men's Soccer drops second game of the season

Marietta, OH -- The Lions drop their second game of the season this afternoon as they took on Otterbein in their second game of the Marietta Classic this weekend.

Otterbein, an NCAA Division III program, came out scoring early and often and Beaver never had the chance to catch up. The Lions gave up 10 goals in the first half of play followed by two additional goals in the second half before the game was finally called at the 70:00 minute mark.

In goal for the Lions was Matt Fetch (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) who faced 23 shots on goal, saving 11. For the second straight game Beaver was not able to generate a shot on goal, but they have a very young program that features 14 freshman this season and only 3 returning players.

The Lions will return to action on Wednesday, September 4th, when they travel to Thiel College.
