WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Tarik LaRoche (Milton) scored two goals helping the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team claim its third consecutive Penn State University Athletic Conference Championship Saturday. The Wildcats defeated Penn State Hazleton 3-0. Junior David Munn (Athens) recorded three saves in the shutout while sophomore Blayne Allen (Trumbull, Conn.) added a goal.

After 27 minutes of back and forth play, Penn College (15-2-1, 11-0) was fouled right outside the box. LaRoche took the direct kick into the top of the goal putting the team up 1-0. The lead would stay going into the break. In the half, Penn College totaled 8 shots to the Lions' 4.

The Wildcats dominated possession in the second half but were not able to score another goal until the 81st when Allen took a pass from freshman Christian Dressler (Mifflintown) in the middle of the box. LaRoche came back in the 86th with his second goal, this time dribbling past the defense and chipping it over Hazleton's keeper.

The Wildcats will next travel to Asheville, N.C. for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Championships. They will take on West Virginia Tech at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1.
