USCAA Basketball National Championships
Fayette, PA-Many of our PSUAC Men's and Women's basketball teams will be competing for the USCAA National Title this week. The events start Tuesday, February 26th. Today there is a skills competition at Penn State Fayette for the student-athletes to participate in. Tonight all the teams will gather for a Championship Banquet held at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.
The games will begin on Wednesday, February 27th at Penn State Fayette. #10 Penn State Fayette men's basketball team is the only PSUAC team that plays on the first day. They will take on #7 Vermont Tech at 8:00 p.m. in the Main Arena. The games continue on Thursday, February 28th. On the men's side, #6 Penn State York will face #3 Berkeley College (NY) at 4:00 p.m. in the Main Arena. #4 Penn State Beaver men will play against #5 Central Penn College at 5:30 p.m. in Maltho Gym.
The PSUAC women's teams begin their games on Thursday, February 27th as #4 Penn State Brandywine will play against #5 Berkeley College (NY) at 4:00 p.m. in the Main Arena. #8 Penn State Fayette will face the #1 seed Central Maine CC at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Arena. #2 Penn State Beaver will take on #7University of Maine-Machias at 9:30 p.m. in the Maltho gym.
The tournament is double-elimination so the teams are guaranteed two games while at the National Championships. The championship games will be held on Saturday, March 2nd. The men will play at 8:45 p.m. in the Main Arena. The women's game will be played at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Arena.
