Men's Basketball: Wildcats Fall Short to PSUAC Scranton 76-72

 

SCRANTON, Pa. - Despite having an eight point lead with four minutes left in the game, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 76-72 to Penn State Scranton Thursday. Sophomore Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led with 15 points and 11 rebounds and sophomore Jason Greenfield (Wellsboro) added 16. With the loss, the Wildcats to 4-19 overall and 3-11 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

 

Down 40-39 at the break, Penn College battled back and took its first lead of the game with seven minutes left. They went on a run to build up an eight-point cushion. The Lions countered hitting some key shots taking back the lead in the closing minutes.

 

Also for the Wildcats, freshman Christopher Carrington (Ridley Park) had 14 points, freshman Nathaniel Brown (Philadelphia) had 11 and freshman Stephen Alford (Philadelphia) had a personal high 10.

 

Next up, Penn College travels to Penn State New Kensington on Saturday, Feb. 9 for a noon game.
