Petrie Addison Scores 27 in 82-70 Loss to Fayette

Lemont Furnace, Pa- Sophomore forward and PSUAC Player of the Week, Petrie Addison (Fort Myers, FL), led the Greater Allegheny (5-10, 2-6 PSUAC) men's basketball team with 27 points and nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough, as they fell to Penn State Fayette, 82-70.

GA entered the break leading 36-34, following a three-point play from Addison. Tied at 40-40, the Fayette offense found their rhythm and used a 14-1 run to open up their biggest lead of the night. Junior forward Nick Dizon (Rankin, PA) hit a jumper at the 8:45 mark to cut the lead to eight, at 61-53, but Greater Allegheny could not reel it in any closer.

Dizon and junior forward Aaron Byrd (Upper Malboro, MD) each scored 13 points, with them grabbing five and six rebounds, respectively. Freshman guard Eric Cottman (Philadelphia, PA) added nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Greater Allegheny will look to get back to its winning ways this Friday, January 18 as they travel to Penn State Du Bois for an 8 PM, PSUAC game.
