MEDIA, Pa. – Despite outscoring Williamson Trade 36-29 in the second half, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 69-52 Monday night. Sophomore Jason Greenfield (Wellsboro) and freshman Christopher Carrington (Ridley Park) each had 10 points to lead the Wildcats. The loss drops the team to 1-7 overall.
After going down 4-0 in the opening half, sophomores Scott Fenton (Dickson City) and Nicholas Deleon (Bronx, N.Y.) each hit jumpers to tie the game with just over 18 left. The Mechanics then went on a 21-0 run over the next ten minutes before Greenfield hit a free throw to stop the scoring drought. Williamson would go into the half up 40-16.
Deleon ended the game with three while Fenton had seven.
In the half, Penn College shot 7-33 (.212) from the field and committed 13 turnovers.
The Wildcats slowly clawed back in the second bringing it to within 12 when Carrington hit a jumper at 3:07 to make it 59-47.
