Penn College Men's Basketball Falls to Penn State Harrisburg, 49-93

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 93-49 Tuesday night. The loss is the fifth straight for the team. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led with 15 points.

Penn College (1-12) opened up off a jumper from Fenton to take an early lead. The Lions countered with an 8-0 run and continued it climb from there ending with a 29 point lead (45-16) in the half. Freshmen starters and top contributors Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) and Bryant House (Columbia Crossroads) got into early foul trouble and had limited time.

The Wildcats shot .231 (6-26) from the field and committed 19 turnovers.

Out of the break, Penn College went on a 5-0 run, three from Fenton to make it 47-21. Harrisburg wasn't shaken and kept pushing the lead higher before ending with the 44 point margin. The second half scoring totals were closer through with Penn College scoring 33 to the Lions' 48.

Also for the Wildcats, freshman Michael Acquaro (Oakhurst, N.J.) had 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Sophomore Ethan Kline (Bellefonte) led the team with 10 rebounds.

Next up, the Penn College travels to Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday, Jan. 14 for a 3 p.m. game.
