Three Wildcats in Double Figures in 79-63 Loss to King's

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshmen Gregory Gibbs (Indian Head, Md.), Scott Fenton (Dickson City) and Nicholas Deleon (Bronx, N.Y.) each sank 12 as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 79-63 to King's College.  The Wildcats' score is their highest so far this season as they drop to 0-3 overall.

In the opening half, Deleon put in a layup to open up the game with Penn College on top.  The Monarchs countered with an 8-0 run to take the lead.  Fenton scored five in the Wildcat's 8-2 run that put them up 15-14 with just over 12 left.

King's reacted with a 12-0 run to take back the lead that held for the rest of the game.  The team went into the break up 38-24.

In the half, Penn College out-rebounded the Monarchs 20-16.  They shot .455 (10-22) from the field.  Turnovers proved an issue with the Wildcats committing 20.

The Wildcats came out of the break on a 4-0 run, two each from Gibbs and sophomore Ethan Kline (Bellefonte).  They slowly chipped away at the lead bringing it to 40-46 with 13:20 left.  It was as close as the team would get as King's put together some runs and closed out the game with a comfortable 16-point margin.

Sophomore Bryant House (Columbia Crossroads) led all players in the game with 15 rebounds.  Penn College ended the game with 41 to the Monarchs' 37.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Albright College for the Albright Invitational on Friday, Nov. 18 for a 6 p.m. game.
