Beaver Wins Again at Nationals

In the last game of the day of the USCAA National Tournament, Penn State Beaver eliminated Robert Morris Springfield by a score of 11-1.

Cory Wagner (Monaca, Center High School) got the start for Beaver going six innings, giving up one run on six hits. After being shutout in the game earlier this morning, Beaver's offense battled back to produce 11 runs on seven hits. Mike Karas (Imperial, West Allegheny) continued to stay hot in the tourney as he collected two more hits. Garrett Covalt (Aliquippa, Hopewell) added two doubles and three RBI while Grant Scott (Sewickley, Ann Arbor Pioneer) also added two RBI.

Beaver will continue play in the tournament tomorrow morning when they take on Southern Virginia University with the first pitched scheduled for 1130 AM.
