Penn State Wilkes-Barre has announced that 135 students have been named to its spring 2024 Dean’s List. To be eligible, undergraduate students must achieve a one-semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s Friedman Art Gallery will display a new exhibit that features artwork by students enrolled in past Penn State Wilkes-Barre art courses, including some artwork that was created by students enrolled in art classes at the campus more than 25 years ago. Organizers hope to identify the artists behind those pieces.

Littleton, who serves as the program coordinator for rehabilitation and human services at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, decided to go into the human services field due to her mother’s influence.

Solar eclipse viewing party draws crowd to Penn State Wilkes-Barre

Members of two campus organizations joined together for a campus cleanup as part of an overall University event in April. Student-athletes from Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s golf team, along with members of the campus Surveying Society, took part in the cleanup as part of the fourth annual Penn State University Athletic Conference Volunteer Week, which ran from April 1-12.

When 52-year-old Renee Gibson receives her long-awaited Penn State degree on May 4, her 22-year-old daughter Clare will be there — and she’ll be in her own cap and gown. Just a few hours before Renee receives her baccalaureate degree from the College of the Liberal Arts via Penn State World Campus, Clare will graduate from the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences with a degree in meteorology and atmospheric sciences with minors in climatology and geography.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre recently hosted the Trig-Star competition, an event aimed at promoting the practical application of trigonometry and raising awareness about surveying as a career path. The competition, held in the Bell Atlantic Center for Technology, took place in conjunction with National Surveyors Week, which brings awareness to the surveying profession during the third week of March every year.
