Fayette wins first PSUAC Conference Game

New Kensington, PA- Fayette wins first PSUAC match up.

Fayette continued on the road last night to Penn State New Kensington for their first PSUAC Conference match up of the season. Despite not having their normal line up with Abby Bickerton sitting out, the team won 3-1 (scores of 25-13, 22-25, 25-13, 25-12. Third year outside hitter, Kamden Miller shared her thoughts on the win, "It was exciting to not only win as a team but play as one. We picked up new people and were working with new rotations, so we had a rough start to our season."

Kamden Miller has not only proven to be a great outside hitter, but a defensive need for the Fayette team. Miller led the team with an impressive 19 digs. Kamden commented on the accomplishment, "During the game we all focused on energy and I knew I had to my part in the back row to set up our offense."

Other important contributions from the team came from: Pasepa Driso-Buwawa- 12 kills, 14 digs and 5 blocks, Tyannah Eddings- 17 digs, and an impressive showing by first year Hannah Cramer that hit a .571 hitting percentage.

Fayette will continue on the road where they will face in a non conference match up against Pitt Greensburg on Thursday, September 14. The last match up with Pitt Greensburg in the 2022 season was a great one at the Fayette Main Arena. Fayette looks to get a big win heading into the weekend, where they will face long time rival Penn State Greater Allegheny.
