Penn State Mont Alto 56, Penn State Schuylkill 54

MONT ALTO, Pa. – The women's basketball team hosted Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday evening. They were trailing by as much as 17 points late but managed to bring it back and take the game with just a couple minutes remaining. 23 points from Kaleigh Hartman and 13 points from Dariana Perez made the difference in the comeback effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Schuylkill took an early 8-2 lead on a jump shot from Jasmine Wright

-Autumn Fischer kept Mont Alto in it with a layup midway through the second quarter

-Penn State Schuylkill built their lead through the rest of the second and beginning of the third quarters and led by as much as 17

-Mont Alto heated up and went on a 10-0 run through the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarter

-With 7:20 left in the contest, Shanez Morales drew a foul on a made layup and connected the free throw to bring Mont Alto within three

-Shanez Morales tied the game 50-50 with 5:00 remaining

-With 3:00 left in the contest, Schuylkill's Monet Edwards laid the ball in to put her team up one

-Clutch free throws from Kaleigh Hartman and Shanez Morales gave Mont Alto a 56-54 lead with just 27 seconds left
