Monaca, PA - Baseball played a hard faught game against Penn State Mont Alto this afternoon going scoreless for both teams through 3 full innings. The team was unable to continue that though through the game after a couple of errors, allowing Mont Alto to score. The team had 2 hits in this game which was not enough to bring in the runs needed.
On the mound for Beaver today was Freshman, Aaron Stribling who pitched all 9 innings, throwing to 42 batters, giving up only 3 earned runs and striking out 1. The two hits today came from Senior, Stefan Romaniuk and Senior, Jacob Beck who also hit the teams only double for the day. Junior, Parker Walden, and Sophomore, Joseph Barile both were able to draw out a walk from Mont Alto's pitchers but in the end, the runners were not able to find their way home.
