Brandywine Drops 2-0 Decision To Marywood

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss at Marywood University on Thursday night.

Brandywine goalkeeper Elijah DeBooth (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson), who was the PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week last week, stopped both shots he faced during the first half to keep the match scoreless entering halftime.

The Pacers got on the board during the 51st minute, using a penalty kick to take a one-goal edge. Marywood doubled the margin during the 68th minute on a breakaway goal from Kyle Falcon.

Brandywine produced nine shots, but only one on target, which came off the foot of Chris Manful (Baltimore, Md./Woodlawn) during the 54th minute. Manful attempted three of the Lions' nine shots, while DeBooth stopped three shots overall.

Brandywine (3-2) will have a week off before opening conference play Thursday at home against Penn State Scranton (4:00 PM).
