Lemont Furnace, PA- Fayette upsets the number two seed University of Cincinnati Clermont with a sweep.
Number 6 seed, Fayette came out on fire for the final game of day one in USCAA National Tournament pool play. Fayette had a 3-0 sweep of the number two seed UCC, that is no stranger to the USCAA Tournament. The scores of the match were 25-13, 25-18, and 25-15. Leading for Fayette was kills leader for the team, Pasepa Driso-Buwawa with 13 kills and 11 digs. Emma Eckert secured 33 assists for the three set match.
Fayette will continue pool play tomorrow for an 11:30 A.M. PSUAC semi final rematch against Penn State York. If Fayette can secure the victory over York, they will end pool play first on their side heading into the afternoon for bracket play.
