Brandywine Sweeps Montgomery County In Final Non-Conference Match

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-20) sweep at Montgomery County Community College on Tuesday night.

Lexie Berry (Brookhaven, Pa./Daegu) set a career high with seven blocks, while Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) contributed 10 kills, five blocks and four digs. Sophie Scrivo (Chester, Conn./Valley Regional) tallied five kills and a pair of blocks.

Sydney Terrell (Walkersville, Md./St. John's Catholic Prep) totaled 19 assists and recorded half of Brandywine's eight service aces. Terrell also produced three blocks and Katie Snyder (Wilmington, Del./Dickinson) added four blocks.

Suzie Alvarenga (Fullerton, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) notched a team-best 18 digs, while Laura Jezyk (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth), Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) and Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) all collected nine digs.

Brandywine (11-6, 8-2 PSUAC) faces Penn State York on Thursday night at 7:00 PM.
