Brandywine’s Winning Streak Reaches Six In Sweep

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team extended its winning streak to six consecutive matches following a 3-0 victory at Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Saturday afternoon. Set scores from the match were 25-22, 25-10, 25-17.

Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) led the offense with 11 services aces, while Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Dowingtown East) both produced seven kills. Lexie Berry (Brookhaven, Pa./Daegu) and Katie Snyder (Wilmington, Del./Dickinson) each tallied four kills.

Sydney Terrell (Walkersville, Md./St. John's Catholic Prep) delivered 12 assists and Sophie Scrivo (Chester, Conn./Valley Regional) registered six.

Berry topped the defense with five blocks, while Snyder posted three and both Floyd and Terrell notched two blocks. Suzie Alvarenga (Fullerton, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) amassed a team-high 18 digs and Laura Jezyk (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) added nine, while Stevens collected seven.

Brandywine (7-2, 5-0 PSUAC) will play a pair of non-conference road matches during the upcoming week beginning with Tuesday's match at Cairn (7:00 PM).
