Women's Volleyball Falls 3-0 to Penn State Brandywine

MEDIA, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Volleyball began their six-game road stretch on Saturday against PSUAC opponent Penn State Brandywine. Brandywine defeated Schuylkill in three sets.

Brandywine jumped to an early lead following two kills, setting the tone for the contest. However, Maddy Robinson (Auburn, PA / Blue Mountain) responded emphatically with two kills of her own. Robinson remained aggressive, contributing an ace that tied the score at 4-4. Despite the early exchange of points, Brandywine seized control of the set with a 21-0 run.

Brandywine carried their momentum into the second set, amassing 13 kills during the set and closing Schuylkill out 25-7.

A kill by Robinson put an end to a 7-0 run by Brandywine to begin the third set. Schuylkill brought their deficit to as many as six before Brandywine went on a run that ultimately put the game out of reach.

Robinson led Schuylkill with 4 kills and 8 digs. Ava Seltzer (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Schuylkill Haven) finished with 6 assists.

Schuylkill (1-3 overall, 0-2 PSUAC) will remain in conference play as they travel to Penn State York on Monday, September 18th. Start time is 7:00 p.m.
