In the first quarter, Esther Cole (Brooklyn, NY) brought New Kensington into the lead with 2-pts. Wilkes Barre answered back quickly. Jayde Rivera (Dover, DE) and Jada Norman (New Kensington, PA) brought in 4-pts. to keep New Kensington in the lead.

The Lions ended the first quarter with 20-points, leaving Wilkes-Barre with 7-points.

In the second quarter, Rivera brought PSNK to 22-points with her jump shot. With 2-minutes down, shots by Cole and Rivera brought PSNK to 25-pts. Meanwhile, Wilkes-Barre kept chipping away. New Ken finished the half 31-points to Wilkes-Barre's 30-points.

After halftime, Wilkes-Barre took the lead 36 - 31. New Ken gained 8-pts. thanks to free throws from Rivera and Batiste, along with Batiste and Cole's layups. In the end, Wilkes-Barre held their own and finished out with 79-points to New Kensington's 59-points.

Rivera led the team in points with 19 and Esther Cole had a double-double, with 17 point, 17 rebounds and 4 steals. Destiny Batiste helped the Lions, with 13 points.
