Uniontown, PA---- Penn State Beaver was defeated by Warren Wilson College on Friday evening by a score of 68-46 in the semifinals of the USCAA National Tournament. The loss knocks Beaver out of the tournament and ends their season with an overall record of 21-8. Beaver could never really get going in the contest, trailing 32-20 at the half and could not overcome the deficit in the second half.
Beaver got 18 points from junior Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) as Miller also added 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) scored 10 points giving the Lions two in double figures and Chris Weathers (New Brighton, New Brighton) finished with 8 points.
Despite the loss, Beaver once again had a successful season, a season that featured a PSUAC regular season title including a 16-1 regular season mark, runner-up at the PSUAC conference tournament and an appearance in the national semifinals.
