The Shenango Lady Lions took a trip to Eastern Pennsylvania for a two-game road series against Penn State Hazleton and Penn State Schulykill this past weekend.

Friday night against Hazleton the Lady Lions were locked in a back-and-forth affair for the entire first half, going into halftime with a 28-26 lead. Shenango was able to take more control in the early stages of the second half, jumping out to a nine-point lead. Hazleton clawed their way back into the game late in the third quarter, finishing the frame with a 42-41 lead. Shenango managed to hold off Hazleton in the fourth, winning the game 66-56. Shar'Da Williamson led the team with a massive effort of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Kylie Krupp added an additional 11 points.

Saturday afternoon, Shenango headed down to Schuykill and made quick work of them, winning the matchup 70-52. The Lady Lions trailed Schulykill 3-2 after 42 seconds, however, that would be the only time they trailed. Shenango was led by Hailee Aguinaga who tailed 18 points and 5 rebounds. Shar'Da Williamson kicked in 10 points and 8 rebounds as well.

The Shenango Lady Lions will be back at the Buhl Club on Friday, December 8th when they host Penn State York. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 PM.
