The Shenango Women's Volleyball team made the trip south to Pittsburgh, PA on Thursday to take on the Carlow Celtics in a non-conference matchup. The first set saw Shenango jump out to an early lead, 9-5, before Carlow went on a run, pulling ahead and never looking back. Set 2 saw Carlow jumping out to big lead, before Shenango fought their way back, ultimately dropping the set 25-20. The third and final set ended in heartbreaking fashion as Shenango put together their best set of the night, keeping it close the entire time before falling to the Celtics, 25-23.

The Lady Lions were led by Kiara Varion who tallied 10 kills in the effort. Ella Stewart contributed a game-high 20 assists. Jill Dunleavy led the team with 13 digs. Next up for the Lady Lions on Saturday, September 23rd is a road match at Penn State DuBois. The first serve is set for 1:00 PM.
