Hazleton trips up Scranton, 99-78

DUNMORE, PA- Following a close game on the women's side, the men took the court for their shot at a win. Scranton came out firing as three after three dropped giving them an early 11 point lead over Hazleton but the visitors showed good poise as they fought back to ultimately take a 54-37 halftime advantage.

The second half played much closer as both teams came out of the intermission ready to fight until the end. Scranton kept firing from deep but the first half deficit proved too much for the Lions as Hazleton completes the sweep walking away with the 99-78 win.

Picking up where he left off last semester, sophomore guard, Rob McAndrew led Scranton with a 21-point, 12 rebound double-double. Junior guard, Arel Lamour added 21 points and junior guard, Matt Dessoye contributed 15 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

Hazleton was led by a game-high 28 points from Andy Kwiatkowski and a pair of double-doubles from Scott Shamany, 17 points and 14 rebounds and Robbie Hopkins, 11 points and 10 assists.
