New Kensington, PA--- Penn State New Kensington took on Cheyney University on Thursday, Jan. 25 at PSNK's home court. 

Jada Norman (New Kensington, PA), Esther Cole (Brooklyn, NY), and Destiny Batiste (Thibodaux, LA) fought to keep PSNK in the game.  

In the first quarter, Norman and Batiste contributed to tying up the score. Despite those three close calls, Cheyney dominated the first quarter with 14 points. From there, PSNK's top scorers, along with Tori Johnson (New Kensington, PA) fought to turn the game around.  

However, Cheyney continued to lead while New Kensington ended the first half with 19 points. 

The halftime score was 32 – 19. 

Entering the second half, New Kensington earned 11 points that totaled their score at 30. Meanwhile, Cheyney led the scoreboard by 20 points. To finish off the game, Norman, Batiste, and Cole collectively scored 12 points that ended the game with PSNK at 42 points.  

Cheyney University took the win with 85 points.  

Overall, Norman scored 13 points and contributed 11 rebounds for New Kensington. Although Batiste and Cole scored 12 points each, Cole also contributed 12 turnovers and 14 rebounds.
