Women's Volleyball Loses First Conference Matchup to Penn State Lehigh Valley

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. - Penn State Schuylkill Women's Volleyball began conference play on Tuesday, as they hosted Penn State Lehigh Valley. Lehigh Valley went on to defeat Schuylkill in four sets.

The matchup kicked off with Penn State Lehigh Valley storming to a hot start, totaling 13 kills during the first set. Lehigh Valley's momentum carried over to the second set, tallying an additional 11 kills.

Schuylkill took control during the third set, highlighted by three kills by Maddy Robinson (Auburn, PA / Blue Mountain) and a plethora of aces by Mahea Kelley (Bowie, MD / Bowie). Lehigh Valley regained control during the fourth set, winning 25-11 and closing out Schuylkill in four sets.

Robinson totaled 8 kills and two blocks for Schuylkill. Kelley tallied 13 digs and 5 aces. Tiffany Bohner (Hegins, PA / Tri Valley) contributed with 10 digs. Sydney Morton (Norfolk, VA / Gateway Christian Academy) led Schuylkill with 6 assists.

Schuylkill (1-2 overall, 0-1 PSUAC) will remain in conference play for their next matchup as they travel to Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, September 16th.
